Just because you haven't seen too many cyber attacks in the news lately, don't get a false sense of security. If you're a small business or company or even a government agency, be aware these cyber attacks are still out there. The CIA uh and the Department of Justice, FBI are warning against another round of very, very serious ransomware attacks. uh this Medusa uh platform is out there gathering up information, gathering up intel, installing themsel on these networks and if you're not monitoring for it, you could get hit hard without even knowing it.

So, if you have a cyber liability policy, make sure that your carrier is monitoring your system. Uh if you don't have one, make sure you have a good IT department that's monitoring that's you will be back in your video in just a few seconds. Now, back to your video that's educated and updated on the current uh risk. This Medusa risk didn't exist even a few months ago. So unless you were trained on it in the last few months, you may not know. Make sure you have a very good response prepared. So if you do get hit by a cyber attack or ransomware, you know exactly what to do. Everybody knows how to how to act. Your accounts receivable, your payroll, everybody knows what to do next and what the backup options are. Make sure you have that in place and a little checklist for that.

Um, again, your cyber carrier would ha help you with that if you have that in your current commercial insurance policy. But don't let your guard down. These hackers are still out there. They may have stepped back a little bit because there was some push back, but now they're ready to launch another wave. And I suspect that this spring and summer will be pretty busy for cyber security defense.
