So what is a family office? If you're a family office manager, you already know this. But for those outside the industry, we'll give a brief overview. Family office is a group of professionals that are put together by a high netw worth or affluent individual to manage their personal affairs. So, if you are a wealthy person who owns some businesses, maybe own some real estate, and you now have some uh family or personal wealth that you need managed, you have a family office, usually an attorney, an accountant, tax expert, maybe some domestic staff managers, maybe some project managers that maintain usually office space to handle the private affairs of that um high- netw worth individual, that private client individual.

And these family offices don't have to be, you know, like Bill Gates or or Elon Musk. They could be, you know, a person who owns a a chain of of furniture stores or a car dealer who has means to be able to run their various households. Many times they have multiple properties, multiple vehicles. Uh you have to handle insurance um coverages and manage your risk. You have to manage your your capital. uh what investments philanthropic efforts you're making. Uh this is an important uh type of management for your personal affairs.

And you don't want to turn it over necessarily to the people who are running your businesses. Sometimes you want to keep your personal activities separate from your business for privacy or even for finance firewalls. And that's why a family office is important.
