Do you have a side hustle an extra gig something you're making some money with on your own that's great that's the entrepreneurial Spirit that's something that everybody should strive for whether you have a full-time primary job or employment or not you should always work on having something that makes you money from your own accord however you need to start thinking about your next chess move your next step if you have gone from primary job to having a side gig maybe making that side gig your hustle.
You can't stop there if you stop there you're going to run into trouble down the road big trouble financial trouble here's why if you have a side Hustle that you hustle every day and make money unless you turn that into something that's more automated and efficient you're always going to have to hustle right if you work for an employer you could take a vacation you could take a week off if you work for a regular job you can call in sick if you have a side hustle and your customers are counting on you every day you can't really take time off so you have to find a way to automate and Outsource some of that day-to-day labor and expand it that's the way you can scale because if you don't scale it you run into what we call the dentist problem.
The dentist problem is what a lot of side Hustlers are going to run into someday when you max out your time a dentist is a high profile and high paying job but you can't make it bigger than a certain amount because there's only so many hours in the day you can clean people's teeth right if you're a dentist and you have an appointment every hour maybe you can do five or six a day you can't do 50 a day as a dentist unless you open up a dentist um agency and you have multiple dentists well now you're not a dentist anymore you're running a business and that's what we're talking about so whatever your side hustle is you're going to run out of hours in the day that you can do it you can maybe make very good money in the hours you have but if you want to scale and expand it you have to find ways to get that process done without you lifting a finger or at least Without You slaving away for eight hours a day maybe you have to check in and manage it for a couple hours here and there but you want to be able to scale it otherwise you're not going to be able to do 10 million five million 15 million whatever you're going to have to stop at a certain level you're going to plateau and you don't want to have limits on yourself.
So start looking at options there's Fiverr there's Outsourcing there's overseas virtual assistants that can help do some of the things they won't be able to do everything but they could carry the burden of the things you hate doing whether it's administrative paperwork manufacturing phones emails to get your head out of the game where you're working on the business not in the business you don't become that dentist that just maxes out your time and gets burnt out and not be able to take a vacation.
So a side hustle is great start planning your next move you don't have to do it today you don't have to do it tomorrow but within the next year or two start thinking about how you can extract yourself from the day to day to have a more fulfilling life and be able to enjoy some of the money you're making so you're not just slaving away grimly determined and making money that you can never spend and enjoy.
