What do they mean by digital? Well, it's real simple—you'll be able to access and keep your titles online or on their smartphone like an airline boarding pass. So your title for your vehicle is actually on an app. You don't need to have a paper title. You can't lose it. It's on your phone. You have a login, so if you ever need your ownership proof—you're not going to sell the vehicle, you're going to trade it in—you can access your vehicle title electronically.

You don't have to worry about paper title—losing it, getting a duplicate, having it damaged, having it lost in a safe deposit box or in a file cabinet—because again, you don't use your title every year like a registration. So it's real easy to get lost if you're relying on a paper that you don't see every day.
