Every once in a while we want to come back to looking at affordable homes nationwide and here's a good example and again as we always say you don't have to look at this particular house or even this particular town or even this state you may not want to live here but there's houses like this all over the country. This is a house it's a 3,200 over a thousand square feet on a half acre brick nice little ranch for $137,000 and this happens to be in Grand Bay Alabama it's about 20 minutes from the beach from Orange Beach it's a nice coastal area and it's a cheap house.

And you might say I don't want to live in Alabama I don't like Alabama I don't like that kind of house that's fine but if you look around there are cheap homes in every part of the country that have land that are bigger homes that are near a city that are in the $100,000 to $200,000 range there's no area where you can't get an affordable home within an hour's drive of pretty much anywhere you want to be so look at these houses.

See what's out there you have to have an open mind right you're not going to get your dream house if you want a cheap house but at least you can get into the house market a mortgage on this house is going to be about $1,200 bucks a month that's probably less than your rent and now you're a homeowner so as the market goes up you won't be chasing the value because you'll have equity building in your existing house that you can use to offset the increased house values of maybe your dream house that you will buy someday this could be a good starter house.

So again not trying to tell you what to buy or where to buy but always be aware that there are house deals out there that you can get no matter what budget you're in. There's even some houses in this area that are under $100,000 we saw one that was a little 900 square feet house that was a two-bedroom one bath $68,000 small house but it was on 3/4 of an acre so if you want a starter home that you can get into cheap have a cheap payment that maybe you can move up from someday keep your eyes open because they're out there.
