so how do you get a duplicate car title from another state if you've moved. well it's real simple if the cars in your name and you just lost your title but you since moved simply mail a duplicate title request form back to the prior state where the car was last titled. you probably have to get it notarized if you're not going to go in person. give them your updated address where you live they'll mail you new title no problem. you can't request from the state where you live currently if the title was issued from a previous state. so you have to request it from the state where was last issued. make sure if there was ever a lien on the vehicle that you get a lien letter from the bank making sure that the DMV knows there's no loan left on it. they'll mail you a new title then once you get it bring it into new state the convert it to a new title in your state no problem. but getting one from out state is real simple you just have to get that form from the DMV in the state where was last titled mail to them. can't find on their website we have it on our website you can download it for free if you want a blank one you don't need us to fill it out for you you can get it for free our website car titles dot com and mailed it to them with the proper notary authorization of your signature the fee usually is between two and thirty dollars for most states to get a duplicate really easy to do. so do it by mail don't try to call them. do it by mail they won't take a verbal request or an email request it's got to be signed on the piece of paper.
