So, how bad are the cyber attacks? Well, the volume is increasing dramatically. There are some indications that AI is being used to overwhelm the system. Here is a measure of the number of cyber attacks that are happening: there are 2,000 per second. Because of an AI arms race, hackers and businesses are fighting each other, and if you're a business, you probably have attacks happening right now in your company that you may not even be aware of. Not all of them succeed, but it's just a matter of time.

You know those old movies where somebody wants to break into a safe, and they have some system that spins the dial on that safe a million times until it gets it right? That's what's happening to your server right now. The hackers are out there trying to get into your system, trying to infiltrate your finances, your data, lock down your system, and do ransomware. Unless you have some type of defense against it, they're going to get through eventually, and that way, they're going to be able to do a ransomware attack, download all your data, or attack your finances. You want to have active monitoring because if you have active monitoring on your system, you will see these attacks happening in real time and can do something to prevent them from getting in. A lot of people that run companies don't have active monitoring on their network. You might have an IT person that looks at log files once in a while, but that's manual. It's a numbers game, hoping they get through, and they don't have to do anything; they push a button, and a bunch of servers automatically use AI to send out these attacks on your system. Be aware: whether you're a company that is small, large, medium, it doesn't matter what industry you're in, they're out there. They're insidious, they're trying to get you, so be smart and don't let them ruin your business.
