It's almost like we know what we're talking about for years. We've talked about how the age and use of a battery affect the range. Finally, an automaker is calculating the range of used vehicles by the battery age.

As an electric vehicle gets older, the battery becomes less vibrant and may not have the same range it did when it was new. So, when a used vehicle is sold, it has to calculate that range. You can't go by what it was when it was new.

Unlike a gasoline car, if you buy a used gasoline car, it's still going to go the same distance it always could until it breaks.

An electric vehicle with a battery may have a shorter range as it gets older. Knowing about this when you purchase a used electric vehicle is very important to determine the value, how long it's going to last, and how much you're able to use it for.
