Here's another good example of where cyber liability insurance can be more handy than just the insurance. Um, letting us know that they wanted us to make us aware of a WordPress vulnerability. Basically, they're telling us that there's a new hacking method that's out there. How did this happen?

Well, if you have the right kind of cyber insurance through the right kind of company, they will send you regular updates and status changes to your network. It's almost like having a free IT department monitoring your network for you and they're going to tell you about vulnerabilities. They're going to tell you about what actions to take and you don't have to pay any extra money for that. That's part of many cyber insurance policies.

And if for some reason you do get a hack or an attack on you, you can just pick up the phone, call up their response department, and they have even a response team that can help with this. But this is a perfect example of where cyber insurance is more than just the insurance. It's kind of like if you bought fire insurance and you had a fire department waiting outside to put out a fire because they don't want to have claims. They want to keep you from getting attacked. So it saves them money on having to pay out claims.

That extra bit of protection. Sometimes it's cheaper to buy the insurance than it would be to hire a cyber defense company that you don't get insurance from. So, take a look into it. Get a quote for your company and see what's cheaper, buying cyber insurance or hiring somebody to defend your network by itself.
