So with electric vehicles the big question everybody wants to know is how long will batteries last both in terms of range but also how long the vehicle will be able to use that battery in its lifespan so a vehicle battery are durable enough to last pretty long time you know most vehicles are planned to last you know eight to ten years versus normal charging but heat usage charging and even physical damage can affect it we did a video a little while ago about a vehicle that was towed in property that damaged the battery so you want to make sure that your battery not only is charged correctly not exposed to high heat but that it's not physically impacted damaged or vibrated.

Here's the big news a manufacturer batteries in the u.s has demonstrated the prototype that can go 750 miles on a single charge it's early technology but this company got a 60 50 65 million dollar funding round to scale up this battery technology so if you're looking for the future of range of vehicles there was a proof of concept device with 732 miles of range this is farther than most gas cars can go internal combustion engine vehicles can go.

Their business strategy is doubling the range decreasing the cost of batteries and creating a local supply chain in the us so you don't have to import parts or materials as this type of technology and science scientific research continues you know this is not even a few years into the heavy duty use of electric vehicles already with a 750 mile range who knows if by the end of this decade there will be batteries in vehicles that will last a thousand miles and maybe you don't have to worry about not lasting 200 000 miles for the life of the vehicle.
